Founder's Story

Where It Started

My name is Aziz Qwasme.

I came to the United States with ambition in my chest and very little else. No connections. No roadmap. No rich uncle handing me a portfolio. What I had was a belief — stubborn, sometimes irrational — that if I worked hard enough, learned fast enough, and refused to quit, I could build something real.

I was not born into real estate. I was not handed a license and a list of warm leads. I found my way to this industry the same way most people find things that matter: through searching, failing, and refusing to settle for less than what I knew was possible.

Early on, I worked jobs that paid my bills but never my potential. I watched people around me clock in, clock out, trade their time for a paycheck, and call that security. I respected the grind — I lived it — but I always knew there had to be another way.

That way turned out to be real estate.

"Real estate is not just about buying and selling homes. It is one of the most powerful tools for building long-term wealth ever created — and most people never learn how to use it."

— Aziz Qwasme, Founder of Zaza Living

The Obsession Phase

When I discovered real estate, I did not dabble. I dove in completely.

I spent nights studying deal structures. Weekends touring properties. Early mornings reading about financing, markets, leverage, and cash flow. I sought out people who were already where I wanted to be and I paid close attention. Not just to what they said — but to how they thought.

What I found changed everything.

The people building real wealth were not working harder than everyone else. They were thinking differently. They understood leverage. They understood that your time is your most limited resource, and the goal is to make your money work while you sleep. They understood creative financing — owner financing, wraparound mortgages, private lending — tools that most people never learn because the traditional system has no incentive to teach them.

I became obsessed with that knowledge. And I started using it.

The Lessons That Cost Something

Here is the part people skip in their success stories. I will not skip it.

Not every deal worked out. Some cost me money. Some cost me time. A few cost me both, plus a hit to my confidence that took longer to recover from than I would like to admit.

I have sat across from sellers who were not ready to sell, no matter what they said on the phone. I have worked deals for months that fell apart at the last minute. I have made promises to myself I had to reschedule because the market shifted or a partner backed out or the numbers stopped making sense.

But here is what I learned from every one of those setbacks: the loss is never the last word. It is just the lesson you needed to handle the next opportunity correctly.

Every expensive mistake sharpened my judgment. Every failed deal taught me something I could not have learned in a classroom. That is the real cost of an education in entrepreneurship — and it is worth every dollar.

Phase 01

Learning the game

Nights and weekends studying markets, financing structures, and deal mechanics. Building a foundation that most investors skip.

Phase 02

Taking the first swings

Early deals. Early wins. Early losses. Every outcome added to the playbook. The expensive lessons became the most valuable ones.

Phase 03

Getting licensed and going deeper

Became a licensed Realtor in Texas. Not to chase commissions — to gain full access to the market and serve clients at a higher level.

Phase 04

Founding Zaza Living

Built a brand around creative deal structuring, investor education, and off-market opportunities. Real estate as a vehicle — not just a transaction.

What I Actually Believe About Wealth

Most people think wealth is about earning more. It is not. It is about keeping more, growing more, and building systems that work when you are not in the room.

Real estate, private lending, business ownership, and strategic investing have completely changed how I think about money. These are not get-rich-quick tools. They are slow, powerful, and compounding over time — exactly the way real wealth is built.

Core Belief 01

Money follows trust

Every investor I have connected with, every seller who chose my offer, every deal that closed — it came down to trust. Trust is earned through consistency, competence, and results. There are no shortcuts here.

Core Belief 02

Leverage is the multiplier

Trading time for money is a ceiling. Understanding leverage — of capital, relationships, and knowledge — is how you break through it. This is why creative financing changes the game for buyers, sellers, and investors alike.

Core Belief 03

Access is the real barrier

Most people are not kept out of wealth because they lack ability. They are kept out because they lack access to the right information, the right relationships, and the right structures. My job is to close that gap.

Core Belief 04

The long game always wins

I am not building for next quarter. I am building for the next decade. Real estate rewards patience. Relationships compound. Knowledge compounds. Assets compound. Everything worth having takes time — and that is a feature, not a bug.

What Zaza Living Actually Does

Zaza Living is not just a real estate brand. It is a philosophy made operational.

As a Realtor and investor based in Houston, I help three types of people: families ready to buy or sell a home who want a strategy-first agent — not just someone to open doors. Sellers in complex situations who need creative solutions, not a standard listing process. And investors — active or passive — who want exposure to real estate deals structured to produce real returns.

I specialize in creative financing structures because they unlock deals that traditional financing shuts down. Owner financing. Wraparound mortgages. Private lending arrangements. These tools serve buyers who cannot qualify the conventional way, sellers who want income instead of a lump sum, and investors who want to deploy capital without managing a property themselves.

Most agents do not know these structures. Most buyers and sellers do not know they are an option. That gap is exactly where I operate.

"The journey is far from over. I continue to learn every day, improve every day, and pursue bigger goals every year. The mission is not a transaction — it is generational."

— Aziz Qwasme

Where We Are Going

My vision is bigger than closing deals. I want to build businesses, acquire assets, create passive income opportunities for investors who trust me with their capital, and help people across Houston understand how wealth is actually built — not how the movies say it is built.

I am actively growing my investor network, developing content that pulls back the curtain on creative finance, and building the systems that make Zaza Living scalable beyond just my own time and energy.

If you are a homeowner looking for options. An investor looking for returns. A first-time buyer who thought the door was closed. Or someone who simply wants to understand real estate at a deeper level — I want to connect.

This is the beginning, not the peak.

Let's build something great together.
